Rob Chiang is a Director in NCI's Chicago office. He has more than 17 years of experience in providing financial advisory consulting services to clients on a variety of valuation issues. Mr. Chiang has extensive experience in performing asset and business valuations for companies in a broad range of industries. Mr. Chiang leads the firm’s national intellectual property valuation practice. He has performed valuations of intellectual property for acquisition/divestiture, licensing, litigation, tax planning, financial reporting (SFAS 141/142), transfer pricing, and strategic planning purposes. The types of intellectual property valued include trade names/trademarks, technology, patents, trade secrets, computer software, formulas, product designs, and manufacturing processes/know-how. Mr. Chiang also has extensive experience in royalty rate determination and the development of intellectual property commercialization strategies across a broad range of industries.
